Thanksgiving has come to Yonder Creek, and everyone is getting ready for one BIG community dinner! Mrs. Rabbit has carefully planned the feast, and every family has been given something special to bring.
Ohno has an easy job: rolls.
But when Ready arrives carrying rolls too, something seems a little strange. Then Pal shows up with another basket of rolls. Figure has rolls. Moxie has rolls. And when the friends reach the Community Hall, they discover something even worse...
EVERYONE brought rolls!
No potatoes. No vegetables. No stuffing. Not even the main dish.
"OH NO!"
A Thanksgiving mix-up has left Yonder Creek with more dinner rolls than anyone could possibly eat-and almost nothing else for their feast!
With dinner quickly approaching, Ohno and his friends set out to discover what went wrong. A clue leads them to the bakery, where they learn that one big WHOOSH! sent the Thanksgiving food cards flying everywhere. The mystery may be solved, but there still isn't enough time to make the dinner everyone had planned.
Then Pal has an idea.
Maybe they don't need the dinner they planned.
Maybe they just need a dinner they can share.
Soon all of Yonder Creek is searching cupboards, kitchens, gardens, and pantries. A few carrots, some apples, pumpkin pies, corn, squash, soup, potatoes, fruit-and even one very strange casserole-begin arriving at the Community Hall.
Little by little, something wonderful happens.
Everyone brings what they have.
Everyone lends a hand.
And when one more guest arrives after every chair is filled, the friends discover there's always a way to make room.
Ohno and Friends Give Thanks is a warm, funny Thanksgiving adventure about gratitude, flexibility, generosity, community, and discovering that a celebration doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful.
Filled with colorful autumn scenes, familiar Yonder Creek friends, gentle humor, a Thanksgiving Can You Find It? activity, and an illustrated adventure map, this story gives young readers plenty to discover while sharing an important message:

And just when Ohno thinks the Thanksgiving adventure is finally over...
KNOCK! KNOCK!
Someone else has arrived.
And you'll never guess what they brought.
ROLLS!
"Oh no..."
