Zheng Zhenman is Distinguished Professor in the School of History and Cultural Heritage and Director of the Center for Research in Local Documents at Xiamen University. He is a leading voice of the South China (or Historical Anthropology) School, and his research focuses on local history, lineage organization, popular religion, and ritual culture in Fujian and Taiwan. He has published extensively in both Chinese and international journals.
