Dr. Michael Caterino holds the John and Suzanne Morse Chair in Arthropod Biodiversity at Clemson University. He holds a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Mississippi and a Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of California, Berkeley. His research explores patterns of insect diversity and evolution regionally and globally. This work has entailed visiting museums and field sites across the Americas, and has resulted in the naming of nearly 1000 species of beetles.
