This end-of-year thesis for the Advanced University Studies Diploma in Medical Hypnosis documents the practice of therapeutic hypnosis in nursing homes (EHPAD) by a clinical psychologist. The perceptions of nursing home staff members (across all professional disciplines) regarding hypnosis are presented through a questionnaire-based survey. Three clinical case studies are presented, including transcripts of therapeutic hypnosis sessions, to illustrate the richness of hypnotherapy when applied to geriatric patients. This paper serves as a testament to the idea that "hypnosis is probably not a science, perhaps an art, but certainly a practice."
