"Unnatural Death" (1927) is the third of Dorothy L. Sayer's immensely popular Lord Peter Wimsey mysteries. Starting with "Whose Body?", this series would eventually run to fifteen novels.
In this tale, the story begins when a country doctor mentions an elderly patient's death that seemed natural but left him uneasy. Lord Peter investigates and uncovers an evil plot involving inheritance and murder. The victim, Agatha Dawson, was a wealthy spinster whose death benefited her companion, Mary Whittaker. As Wimsey digs deeper, he discovers Mary's dark and sinister secret, imperiling his investigation and possibly his own life.
Among the most popular amateur sleuths in literary history, Lord Peter Wimsey's third novel is presented here in its original and unabridged format.
