Marcus R. Pyle is the Franco Professor of Humanities and Assistant Professor of Music at Davidson College. His research has been supported by the Howard Mayer Brown Fellowship from the American Musicological Society, the NYU Dean's Dissertation Fellowship, and the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences Visiting Scholar Fellowship at MIT. He has degrees in viola performance, historical musicology, and comparative literature.
