Crystal Schlueter has been developing recipes for more than a dozen years. She has won or placed in over fifty recipe contests, has appeared on national television and local news stations, and has had recipes published in Taste of Home, Simple and Delicious, The Old Farmer's Almanac, and other places. As Schlueter traveled the world with the US Navy, including a tour in Iraq, she developed a passion for many genres of cooking; however, the recipes of her homeland are where her heart lies. She has been writing a regular food column for the Ely Echo and the New Babbitt Weekly News since 2023. She lives in Babbitt, Minnesota.
