Madeline Vadkerty received her PhD in Holocaust and genocide studies at Gratz College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she received the Gratz College Award for Holocaust Studies in 2025. Her research focuses on the Holocaust in Slovakia. Her 2020 book, Your Honor, Mr. President: Letters to Josef Tiso (in Slovak), received awards from the Independent Slovak Writers' Association and the Panta Rhei Literary Academy. She has written numerous articles and given talks about her topic in several countries. She teaches about the Holocaust in Slovakia at Comenius University and the Bratislava International School of the Liberal Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia.
