Marty Clifton is a children's book author and professional proofreader who believes in the power of storytelling to inspire, teach, and spark joy. After years working in the corporate world, Marty launched Grammar Hawk Proofreading and began pursuing her dream of writing for children. Her first book, Penelope and Her Guardian Turtle, introduces young readers to themes of uniqueness, friendship, and self discovery. Both of her books (Penelope and Her Guardian Turtle and Terrance Turtle's Big Adventure) have won the International Impact Book Award.Marty brings the same attention to detail to her writing that she does to editing everything from medical textbooks to creative manuscripts. When she's not writing or editing, you'll find her leading school readings, creating activity packs for kids, or enjoying a good book of her own.
