Statistics are staggering and indicative that most children with absent fathers inevitably become fractured adults. My father's decision to stay as a family is the inspiration for this writing. His father was not present most of his life. Dad made a decision when he was almost 10-years-old not to repeat his father's negligence.
The target audience includes families who do not want a cycle of harm to penetrate their family system, absent fathers, those who are present and yet absent, loved ones who are concerned for their children, and fathers who desire to reconcile with their children but feel hopeless are all part of the target audience.
It is the intent of this writing for readers to learn that it is never too late to reset their lives and appeal to their child and to the child's mother for forgiveness. Reconciliation with their child's mother might be impossible and not the intent of r re-entry. However, their child is part of them and deserves to experience fatherly love, and the rationale for his absence.
