Deep in the ocean, there lived a beautiful mermaid named Marina. She lived with her large family, and yet she still felt lonely. You see, she didn't like to do the traditional mermaid tasks of tending to the coral and singing to heal the sea and others that inhabited it. She preferred to explore shipwrecks and the items left behind by humans. She spent her days searching for new treasures and imagining what the lives of their previous owners were like. One day, she discovers something she has never seen before and begins on a quest to discover what it means. In the meantime, she rescues a young man from a dangerous storm that is sinking his ship. She immediately becomes entranced by the young human and wonders what it would be like to walk amongst the humans. She returns to her home beneath the sea but cannot forget the human she saved. Little does she know that she is about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime.
