B.N. Armas is an author and educator whose storytelling is shaped by a lifelong connection to culture, history, and the enduring power of ideas. Born in Chula Vista, California, and raised in the culturally diverse border community of San Ysidro, he is a proud member of the Chihene Nde Nation of New Mexico. His upbringing fostered an appreciation for the traditions, perspectives, and stories that connect generations.At the heart of Armas's literary journey is his Indigenous heritage. Inspired by his mother's pride in their Native ancestry, he spent years researching his family's tribal roots and developing a deeper understanding of the history that helped shape his identity. That exploration eventually became the creative foundation for Chamán: The Universe Is Ours, his debut novel and the beginning of the Chamán Book Series. Beyond his work as an author, Armas has built a distinguished background in education. He holds a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and an Educational Specialist Degree from Point Loma Nazarene University.
