**The Author in Me** *By Grandmother Christine Sinclair This story begins on a warm January day about thirty years ago. Each January, I put pen to paper or fingers on a keyboard, crafting short stories in the hope of one day writing a complete story. As a mother, I felt fulfilled, but I knew I needed to leave something behind for future generations?a piece of me that said I was here, that I lived. Over the years, my stories became longer, despite my struggles with dyslexia and a stutter. One starlit night at a mandala retreat in Melbourne, Australia, I experienced a moment of clarity. A ray of moonlight danced on my fingers, and I felt an overwhelming sense of purpose. I decided to simplify my life and commit to writing. I returned home, downsized my living situation, and moved into a small caravan, with my supportive husband by my side. I began to produce stories and launched several delightful children's books. The latest series envelops my career as a Mentor for many. 'Books that Enlighten' are my life's work and workshops. As I embraced the author's life, I realized that while I had left parts of myself behind, I had also learned valuable lessons about disappointment and joy. Writing has fostered my growth, though it hasn't always been financially rewarding. I believe that the author is within me and us all. My stories are my own, but I share them with you. I'm no longer content to let my words gather dust. I still enjoy creating books with the help of wonderful friends, but I know there's more ahead of me to explore. Thank you for reading my little bundle of words. Now to finish those novels, wink wink.
