Hans A. Baer is an Honorary Social and Political Sciences Researcher at the University of Melbourn in Australia. He previously was a professor of anthropology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. A past president of the Southern Anthropological Society, he has published many books, including African-American Religion in the Twentieth Century (with Merrill Singer). His recent books include The Corporatization and Environmental Sustainability of Australian Universities: A Critical Perspective and Climate Change and Capitalism in Australia: An Eco-socialist Vision for the Future.
