Fake Wine. Reputations trashed. A kinky death.
Around the USA, and in London and Paris, the wine trade is in turmoil. The finest French wines are suddenly undrinkable. A question-mark hangs over every expensive bottle. As the international media have a field-day, it's a disaster for restaurants.
A celebrated London wine importer faces ruin. The owner asks his old friend Bart Fraser, a Master of Wine, to investigate the scandal. Bart is recovering from a personal tragedy. Even so, to save his friend's wine business, he agrees to help.
A charismatic tabloid journalist befriends Bart. But is she reliable? As the crisis worsens, Bart links violent deaths to whoever is behind the wine war. They are powerful, cunning and resourceful and will stop at nothing.
The trail takes Bart to France and the USA where something even more sinister is happening. In a race against time, he must expose the gang before their next major attack on the besieged wine trade. Too late, he realises that the price of success may be higher than he had ever imagined.
