Ambassador Luqman Abdul Rahim Al-Faili was born in Baghdad in the Al-Atifiyah area in 1966, and lived in its spaces and between its walls. He completed middle school and then left with his family to the United Kingdom in the early 1980s, as a result of the arbitrary deportation campaign carried out by the former regime against Iraqi Faili Kurds. Al-Fili completed his secondary and university studies in Britain. He represented Iraq in many international forums, political circles, research institutions, and the academic and commercial community. He holds a higher diploma in commercial and industrial accounting. He also obtained a bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics. And a Master's degree in Business Administration - Technology Management. He currently works as the official spokesman for the President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Barham Salih at the date of publication of the book. He served as Iraq's ambassador to the United States (2013-2016) and Japan (2010-2013). He also held several administrative and leadership positions in international companies and a member of the boards of trustees of many non-profit organizations. He speaks English, Arabic, and Kurdish fluently. He is married and has five children.
