Surrounded by lies and deceit, the only person Daniel feels he can trust is his friend Tomas who has proven himself a loyal and trustworthy friend during the time the pair were trapped in medieval Verania.
United with his father's parents whom he previously knew nothing about, it's from them that he learns of his true heredity and the date on which he was born, revealing that for the most of his life he had been living 160 years in his past.
When he discovers that his birth parents are still alive, their whereabouts unknown, the pair travel into the future to join his grandparents to learn more about his mother and father. Despite having nothing to guide him in his search, Daniel is no less determined to find them, yet the task seems impossible task.
After his grandfather tells him that he now owns Daniel's parents abandoned former house, he and Tomas go there in the hope of finding any clue that might lead him to them. A chance return to his grandparent's house during their search, leads him to the conclusion that they are in league with his former boss, Jack Richmond, the one person he wants to avoid at all costs.
Having found nothing of use, they prepare to leave but convinced of his grandparents' duplicity, have no desire to return to their house. Tomas suggests they go back to Verania but before they leave, Daniel wants to investigate the cause of an unusual sensation he feels in the building's hallway that only he experiences.
