I was born in Ohio in the late 50s and moved to Pennsylvania when I was 3 where my aunt and uncle had adopted me. I considered them to be my parents, though I didn't have a great relationship with my dad. When I was 13, my mom died from breast cancer and it was just the two of us then. I wasn't the best in school and didn't have many friends, but the ones I did have were great and I'm grateful that their mom helped to take care of me. As an adult, I worked as a custodian throughout Bethel Park for over 30 years before retiring a few years ago. At that time I took the initiative to learn to read and spell better, which lead to me finding out that I have an attention deficit. Through my writing, I have been able to work at getting through the challenges I face and learning to overcome them better. I also have a daughter and a son from a prior marriage.
