William Aspray, professor of information science, University of Colorado Boulder. Author or editor of more than 25 books on the history of computing, mathematics, and information, has written for such presses as MIT Press, Basic Books, and Springer. James W. Cortada is a Senior Research Fellow at the Charles Babbage Institute at the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis, USA. He holds a Ph.D. in modern history and spent nearly 4 decades working at IBM in various sales, managerial, and research positions.
