Jay Udall's poems and short stories have appeared in more than seventy-five publications, including literary journals, magazines, newspapers, and anthologies. He is the author of four previous books of poetry: Learning the Language, First Identity, Home in the Dark, and Another Anatomy. He teaches at the University of Nevada and lives in Reno with his wife and young daughter. V. B. Price, the Mary Burritt Christiansen Poetry Series editor, is the recipient of the Arts Alliance Bravo Award for Excellence in Literary Arts, the Erna Fergusson Award for Outstanding Achievement from the Alumni Association of the University of New Mexico, and the ACLU-NM First Amendment Award. He is the author or editor of numerous books including Broken and Reset from UNM Press.
