Lorelei Morte believes in the paranormal. She thinks vampires are real and that once in a lifetime love can be hers. Her sister, Julia, not so much. She thinks Lorelei is a dreamer who should set her sight on the now. When their parents are called by the Smithsonian Museum to photograph a recently discovered tomb in Egypt, it comes at the worst possible time - right in the middle of Lorelei's first prom. To distract her distraught sister, Julia arranges for a personal tour and that's when all the trouble begins. After Lorelei strangely disappears, Julia is sent to live in Moonlight Cove with her Aunt Peculiar where she discovers everything Lorelei believed in was true.
