In a small village in northern Spain, electricity mysteriously stops working. The phenomenon affects not only the electricity from the grid but also batteries, mobile phones, vehicles, and any kind of machinery, turning them into mere decorative objects.
The police are investigating a series of events related to the unusual blackout: the murder of a bar owner, the rape of a young woman, and the suicide of the local priest.
In response to this inexplicable situation, the government sends agents from the National Intelligence Center (CNI). The presence of foreign agents, including Americans and Russians, offering large sums of money for information about the origin of the blackout, causes tension and fear among the locals.
