In book 3, we meet Uncle Balloon, a small mammoth that fills himself with air, ties his trunk in a knot and then can fly. As long as no one tells him a silly joke that is, for then his trunk unravels and he crashes. Alex, Ludo, Shabby Chum and Princess Barbara are in the Downhills to get the book of magic and save Halo.
