Steve Smallman worked as a children's book illustrator for 20 years before he decided to 'have a go' at writing his own. Now, over 100 books later, he's still at it! He visits schools, libraries and festivals, and paints murals too! When he's not working, he enjoys holidays, watching TV, gardening and juggling grandchildren. Sean Julian enjoyed art from an early age, focusing on potato printmaking and creating plasticine dinosaurs. Years later he studied at the Mansfield College of Art, before moving to Bristol to study illustration. Being rather big and hairy himself, he was always happiest illustrating big, hairy creatures such as bears and gorillas. This naturally led to a career in children's books. He now has over twenty years' experience illustrating and writing for children. Sean Julian enjoyed art from an early age, focusing on potato printmaking and creating plasticine dinosaurs.
